Accounts payable was a lengthy manual process. The customer was leaving money on the table as they could not take advantage of early payment discounts. Received many duplicate invoices that they would end up paying twice. They were looking to modernize their financial system and automate certain processes such as accounts payable. More specifically, they wanted an automatic match of the requisitions with the invoices received.
Solution
We deployed a solution based on IBM DBA technologies that automatically ingested and attached invoices. It also provided a seamless integration to the client’s J.D. Edwards financial applications. Benefits include taking advantage of early payment discounts and identifying duplicate invoices much earlier in the process.

Their ERP solution was being hosted in the cloud, which was very costly. They were also experiencing performance and stability issues. The customer wanted to repatriate their ERP solution to an on-premise (hosted) solution in order to reduce operating costs and improve business resiliency.
