Observability: Empowering IT Operations with AI-Based Environment Monitoring

In this video, the speaker, an SIA innovation site reliability engineer, discusses the challenges faced by IT operations in preventing issues and the impact of COVID-19 on companies’ digital transformation strategies. With the migration of workloads to the cloud, deployment of microservices on containers, and the use of data and artificial intelligence, the technology environment has become more distributed and complex. Legacy monitoring solutions are no longer suitable for the current architecture, as they were developed to work in isolation.

The speaker introduces Observability, a new technology based on artificial intelligence. Observability allows for the analysis and measurement of the internal state of the environment based on output data. It provides a global view of what is happening in the environment, reducing false alarms and decreasing the time to resolve failures. By leveraging Observability operations become more efficient and can focus on strategic tasks.
